Are you facing a problem in falling asleep?

Well, you are not alone. A huge changeover can be overwhelming and is not possible for everyone.

In this busy and stressed life, we simply do not have time to home cook every single meal or hit the gym 6 days a week.

The main reason why people often fail to develop a healthier lifestyle is that they try to commit to the goals that are unattainable in a short time.

Let us find another approach that doesn’t take over our lives and make us healthy without applying much effort.

Here are some baby steps that are easy to commit to and will help you lead a healthier life:

1- No skipping meals

The major reason why people feel exhausted is probably they are skipping meals.

When you skip a meal your metabolism slows down which causes abrupt weight gain or difficulty in weight loss.

If you are someone who eats multiple times a day, try eating smaller, periodic meals instead of not eating or overeating.

Here’s an extra healthy tip:

Always eat when you are physically hungry rather than when you feel bad or have nothing to do.

2- Deep breathing

This is the easiest yet most effective step to a healthier life. When you breathe deeply, healthier blood flow is produced which makes organs work effectively.

Taking a few deep inhalations and exhalations reduces stress, relaxes the mind, and improves digestion. Deep breaths have many benefits:

(a) Better immunity

(b) calms anxiety and stress

3- Hydration

Everybody knows our body is 60% water. It is common sense that something that our body needs the most is Water.

If you want that glowing and spotless skin, all you have to do is drink lots of water.

Scientists say that it is necessary to drink 2–4 liters of water every day to keep your body cool and cleanse it inside out.

4- A morning or evening walk

Walking is probably the most fun and easy exercise to do that gives the most rewards. It helps in burning calories and keeps your body in shape.

Having a 30-minute walk daily can strengthen your heart and reduces the risk of any type of cardiac arrest.

Taking a sweet small walk can improve your mood drastically and clear your head which will enable the free flow of creative ideas.

5- Say Hi to greens:

A healthy lifestyle is not possible without including greens in your diet.

Green, leafy vegetables contain all the vitamins, iron, calcium, and minerals that a body needs.

It protects us from diseases like diabetes and cancer and improves our immune system.

As it is important to include greens in your diet, it is equally important to exclude unhealthy snacks that have lifeless food in them. Below are some items that you should absolutely say no to:

(a) Soda and Sugary drinks

(b) White bread

Here’s an extra healthy tip: Eat more fresh food than processed food.

6- Keeping track:

As important as it is to eat healthily, it is equally important to make yourself believe that you are putting efforts and achieving your health goals.

To do that, you need to keep track of your dietary goals and day-to-day health tasks. Several apps can help you in doing so.

7- Love and Motivate yourself:

Being positive and happy with yourself is a big part of being healthy.

It is very important to acknowledge that yes, you are trying hard and it’s all worth it.

Surround yourself with positive people who genuinely care about you.

A Positive attitude is actually the first step out of an unhealthy and toxic lifestyle.

When you feel like quitting think about why you started in the first place

And, Always remember you are perfect just the way you are!
